Within the television broadcast market, Radio Waves is the leading OEM antenna supplier for central receive sites, with both steerable and sector designs. Radio Waves offers complete remote computer control systems including a GPS option for helicopter tracking.

Radio Waves designs and manufactures a wide range of state-of-the-art microwave components for central receive systems such as high dynamic range low-noise amplifiers, booster amplifiers, and custom RF switching systems. OEM customers rely on Radio Waves antennas for Electronic New Gathering (ENG), studio-transmitter links (STLs), intercity relays, real-time video surveillance, and Outside Broadcast applications from 1.5 to 15 GHz. 

Broadcast product offerings include omnidirectional antennas, high-gain multi-element directional antennas, airborne tracking antennas, portable tripod mounted antennas, and high-gain steerable antennas.

The sector antenna system is composed of four 90-degree antennas that are mounted either in a cluster, or on the side of a building and cabled to a centrally located junction box. The operator can then choose the sector depending on the direction of the desired signal.

The comprehensive line of Wescam/Troll controller products can control all of these steerable antennas. For more basic applications, Radio Waves offers the ARCS antenna control system. The ARCS system features a local control unit, which is located at the antenna site. Remote control of the steerable antenna is accomplished using a software package developed by Radio Waves that can be loaded onto any computer using the Windows 95 operating system. All of the steerable and sector antennas are available in single, dual, or tri-band configurations.

The Omnipole antenna covers all 360 degrees in a single low cost antenna. This antenna can be supplied with an optional LNA and PCS/band filter, and can be remotely powered through the RF cable. These antennas are available in 8 or 11 dBi gain versions.

Radio Waves designs and manufactures the electronic components that set its products apart from the rest of the industry. These designs include high dynamic range low noise amplifiers (LNAs), block downconverters, high stability sources, and solid-state switching matrixes. Radio Waves also produces customer specific designs for special applications.
