Sector Antennas

Radio Waves designs and manufactures portable microwave antennas for the electronic newsgathering (ENG) and outside broadcast (OB) markets for use in terrestrial point-to-point applications.

The Radio Waves parabolic product line includes 1 ft (30cm) up to 4-ft. (120 cm) diameter reflectors offering superior performance in a lightweight design. A wide selection of feeds covering standard frequency bands from 2 – 15 GHz are available. The parabolic antennas are available in a variety of polarizations and offer a high gain solution for portable broadcast applications.

The Radio Waves Megahorn is a rugged compact portable antenna. The Megahorn is available with 13, 16, or 19 dBi gain at 2 GHz, 19 dBi at 7 GHz, and 20 dBi at 13 and 15 GHz. The Megahorn is a compact, lightweight alternative to the parabolic antenna.

These antennas are available in a variety of mounting configurations to fit most any portable application.

Central Receive Antennas

For central receive sites, Radio Waves offers the widest range of antenna products in the broadcast industry.  These products include steerable, sector, and omnidirectional designs, and cover frequency bands from 1.5 to 15.4 GHz. Radio Waves can meet any requirement in today’s fast paced, competitive newsgathering environment.

The steerable antennas offer a choice of models from lightweight packages with integral radomes, to larger antennas that maximize gain. These antennas are offset-fed parabolics offering high gain, and feature motorized pedestals capable of 360-degree azimuth coverage as well as models offering continuous rotation.

 There are also models available that are capable of elevation adjustment. All of these antenna models feature solid-state switching feeds and surge suppression, which greatly improves the reliability of the antenna. High dynamic range LNAs and PCS/band filtering are also included in these designs.

The central receive antennas are available with optional high stability sources at 7 and 13 GHz for digital microwave newsgathering applications.
